Apple Sage Walnut Oatmeal

Keeping in the vein of experimenting with spices, I thought we could try a take on what is normally a flavour combination for turkey stuffing… Makes good oatmeal!

Apple Sage Walnut Oatmeal

Serves 2


  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 apple, diced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 5-7 fresh sage leaves, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp caramel extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup


  1. Add all ingredients except maple syrup to a saucepan over medium heat, cook until all liquid is absorbed.
  2. Serve oats, drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy!
